Sources and bibliography

Reference works on the history and practice of the actuarial profession in Mexico. The historical information on this site draws mainly on these works.

Two essential reference works exist for reconstructing the history of the actuarial profession in Mexico, both written by actuaries who lived it firsthand: the compilation by Luciano Devars Dubernard for CONAC (Colegio Nacional de Actuarios) and the book by Luis Huerta, former president of the International Actuarial Association.
